In the latter case this will give the parties an idea of how an external expert assesses their conflict before they take legal action.\n\nThere is a distinction between an expert engaged by one of the parties and an independent expert appointed by both parties or the court or the arbitration board. At SGOA an independent expert is always called upon. In accordance with the <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/sgoa.eu\/en\/rules\/\">SGOA rules for expert reports<\/a><\/span> we only provide expert reports on the orders of the parties involved. We will act as an intermediary in finding an expert at the request of the courts, arbitrators or parties
